Aysanabee

Aysanabee (Ace-in-abbey) is an alternative indie artist, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and singer-songwriter who has won two JUNO Awards. He is Oji-Cree, from the Sucker Clan of the Sandy Lake First Nation, an isolated community accessible only by plane in northwestern Ontario, Canada. Now based in Toronto, he began creating music under his surname when moments of calm allowed him to slow down and craft music that more accurately represents him as an artist. With a swirling mix of rock, soul, and electronic sounds, along with heart-pounding fingerpicking, Aysanabee’s music is both anthemic and cathartic. His style has been compared to that of Bon Iver, Matt Corby, Hozier, The Black Pumas, Kings of Leon, and many others.

When Aysanabee’s soulful voice—a blend of memory and rebirth—rises gently with the first light of day at Cap Bon-Ami, it will be a moment suspended in time, where the land, the music, and the soul become one. A rare occasion not to be missed.
