Kallisto is a Montreal-based ensemble that creates clarinet-driven progressive rock rooted in modal Klezmer and Anatolian traditions. Led by composer and clarinetist Jossée MacInnis, the group performs original, fully composed music that blends the energy of amplified rock with melodic systems drawn from traditional music. Psychedelic textures and ensemble playing shape an immersive, intentional sound driven by structure.

To kick off the festival at the Frontibus in Rivière-au-Renard, Kallisto will set the stage alight with a captivating fusion of the raw energy of progressive klezmer rock and the Frontibus’s unique atmosphere, where psychedelic textures and Jossée MacInnis’s clarinet will transform the evening into a truly immersive sonic journey.
