Due to a mechanical failure beyond our control involving the chairlift, we are forced to reschedule the performance by artist Maïa Barouh, originally planned for the “ scène TELUS ” at the summit of Mont-Béchervaise. We are moving this festive event to the Auditorium at the Cégep des Îles et de la Gaspésie, where our team will give you a warm welcome.

A French-Japanese singer, flutist, songwriter, composer, and arranger.
Maïa is a unique artist who blends traditional Japanese songs with rap, groove, electronic music, and pop with remarkable freedom. One of her distinctive traits is her exceptional vocal technique—largely unknown to the general public and originating from an island in southern Japan—which she combines with her percussive and irreverent flute playing. With her extensive stage experience, her wild spirit, her volcanic energy, and her boundless musicality, Maïa Barouh takes us to the heart of her roots, where melancholy and trance, percussion and electronic music, rap and ancestral songs coexist, and captivates the audience with her voice that grabs you by the gut.
