The close collaboration with the Douglastown Dance Orchestra, in partnership with the organization Vision Gaspé-Percé Now, is a source of immense pride for the Douglas Community Center. This foundational partnership helps preserve and showcase Douglastown’s unique Irish heritage, which is deeply rooted in the village’s identity. By joining forces for this year’s Loto-Québec stage show and traditional dance picnic, as well as for the revival of Irish Week next year, the organization aims to honor Douglastown’s unique cultural identity. It is through this collaboration with Vision that they are able to pass on these traditions across generations, celebrate their shared roots, and bring together the Francophone and Anglophone communities in one big festive celebration.
So they invite you to step into a world that’s all about the Gaspé Peninsula!
