Poirier

An international figure in electronic music and the global music scene, musician, producer, DJ, and composer Poirier has had a prolific career, with 12 albums to his credit over the course of 25 years; “Quiet Revolution” is his latest album, released in 2024. An iconic figure in Montreal, he has released albums on labels such as Ninja Tune (UK) and Wonderwheel Recordings (US), while maintaining a strong presence in Canada. Winner of the ADISQ Award for Best Producer, a multiple Juno Award nominee, and a shortlistee for the Polaris Music Prize, a major theme runs through his career: building bridges between different communities, languages, styles, and cultures through numerous collaborations.

Poirier is also a highly sought-after remixer, with over 60 official remixes for international artists such as Gotan Project, Gilles Peterson, Salif Keita, Busy Signal, Nickodemus, Flavia Coelho, João Selva, Thornato, K.O.G, Chinese Man, Popcaan, Bosq, Pole, and Vaudou Game.

Poirier has toured in more than 30 countries around the world and has performed at major festivals, including the Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), the Sonar Festival (Spain), Nyege Nyege (Uganda), BoomTown (England), the Dour Festival (Belgium), and Garorock (France).
