August 10, 2024 @ 18:00 - Scène Loto-Québec (Free)Born in Niger, Boubé grew up in the village of Iférouane (on the edge of the Ténéré desert), which hosts the most important Tuareg music festival. It was in the hypnotic atmosphere of this village, nestled at the foot of the Tamgak mountains and surrounded by herds of ostriches and dromedaries, that Boubé learned music.
He sings and plays several instruments typical of Tuareg music, known internationally as "desert blues" and sung by the Berber nomads of the central Sahara.
A self-taught musician, he was already touring at the age of 13 with various groups in Africa.
Then, in 2012-2013, he played with Bombino as percussionist and drummer. (Algeria, Mali, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Nigeria, Libya, Morocco) In 2013-2014, Boubé continued his career with the group Mdou Moctar (England, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, France, Italy, Turkey, Canada, United States).
Boubé is a master of guitar and drums. He is a singer-songwriter and his first album is entitled "Issaktan" (2023).
Her music speaks of peace, friendship and travel. His melodies are sometimes more meditative, sometimes more rock. Some call him the "Jimi Hendrix of the Sahara". It's up to you to discover Boubé's musical universe!
