THE ORGANIZATION
Musique du Bout du Monde (MBM) is a non-profit organization and social economy enterprise whose mission is to organize events to discover and celebrate cultural differences through music and other media.
The20th edition of the organization's flagship event, the Festival Musique du Bout du Monde (FMBM), will be held from 8 to 11 August 2024. Every summer, the majestic landscapes of the Gaspé Peninsula become the scene of encounters and rich artistic discoveries.

MANDATE DESCRIPTION
- Contribute to the planning of all logistical requirements (equipment, service, human resources, rental agreements, etc.);
- Management of site plans (civil, electrical, infrastructure, sanitary, signage, safety, etc.);
- Follow up on contractual agreements with service providers and professional teams;
- Evaluate and determine the technical needs of each volunteer committee, and provide support for its implementation (materials, services, procedures, etc.);
- Contribute to the planning and execution of activities relating to the set-up and dismantling of sites, as well as maintaining their smooth running during events;
- Carry out clerical work relating to the activities under its authority;
- Manage equipment inventory and storage
- Mobilizing volunteer committees in the logistics sector;
- Maintain equipment.
General Skills
- Fluency in French and good knowledge of English;
- Fluency with office automation tools (Office suite, Teams, etc.);
- Open-mindedness and ability to work in a team;
- Good ability to function in times of stress, good organizational and priority management skills;
- Skilled at manual labor;
- Knowledge of the greater Gaspé region (an asset);
- Experience in events or related to the desired sector (an asset).
General Prerequisites and Conditions
- Be available from late June to mid-August and anytime during the week of August 5, 2024.
- Hold a valid driver's license;
- Fit enough to lift loads and move equipment;
- Availability to work on a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends;
- Status: Contract;
- Hourly wage to be determined according to experience.
