Gaspé, August 10, 2026 The 22nd edition of the Festival Music Festival Bout of the World, (FMBM) will once again have attracted many festivalgoers, with preliminary data estimating between 25,000 and 30,000 visits to the festival venues.

The audience turned out in force for a lineup that combined musical discoveries with artists eagerly anticipated by festivalgoers. This year, Manhu, Kizaba, and Dowdelin stood out among the new acts, while other performances generated a great deal of enthusiasm among the audience. Les Louanges played to a sold-out crowd on Friday evening under the big top at the Harbour site, and Jeanne Coté drew a large audience to the intimate setting of the garden at theAuberge sous les Arbres.

“At the ‘ FMBM ,’ we’re lucky to have a truly curious audience. People come to the festival to see their favorite acts, but also to discover artists they don’t know. Over the years, the festival’s bold programming has earned the trust of festivalgoers,” says Novy Marin-Gagné, executive director of the “ FMBM.”

A FESTIVAL THAT BRINGS ITS COMMUNITY TOGETHER

While it is still too early to draw up a detailed accurate of customer traffic and the impact of this 22nd edition, a SEGMA study examining audience origin and the attractiveness index will enable the organization, in the coming weeks, to more accurately measure the festival’s ability to attract visitors to the City of Gaspé. One thing is clear:FMBM remains deeply rooted in and supported by its community. This year, more than 250 volunteers contributed to its success. The festival brought together nearly 65 partners and suppliers. To illustrate this capacity to engage its community, the festival team relies on nearly $350,000 worth of in-kind contributions of goods and services.
